What is a private market place?
A Private Market Place (PMP) is a closed environment where publishers and advertisers can transact directly, usually through a fully customized interface. PMPs differ from open platforms such as RTB in that there are fewer exchanges, but they take place between privileged partners under contract. This allows publishers to get more value out of their inventory, as advertisers often pay more for access to their inventory. PBMs also typically come with additional guarantees and controls, making them more attractive to advertisers concerned about the quality of their campaigns.
PBMs can be a great option for publishers and advertisers to work closely together, but they don’t always offer the flexibility to meet changing market needs.
